Section 301 tariff list — the extra tariffs on goods from China
Since 2018 the U.S. has stacked extra "Section 301" tariffs on top of the regular duty for thousands of Chinese products. This is the current map: which lists are live, which one is suspended, and which product exclusions are about to expire. Counts are duty lines covered by each heading's official code list in HTS 2026HTSRev22.

Forced-labor surtax (2026 action)
A separate Section 301 action over forced labor adds a surtax for goods of 60 economies; China's heading is below. Where a Section 232 tariff already covers a product, U.S. note 52(f) stops this surtax from stacking on top.
| Heading | What it is | Extra rate | Status | Duty lines covered | |
|---|
| 9903.05.31 | Section 301 forced labor — China (+12.5%) | 12.5% | In force | 25,639 | source |
List 4B — Suspended: no additional duty currently in effect
List 4B was suspended before it ever took effect. It is shown separately on purpose: it must never be added to a total.
| Heading | What it is | Extra rate | Status | Duty lines covered | |
|---|
| 9903.88.16 | Section 301 — List 4B (China) | 15% | Suspended | 1,033 | source |
Product exclusions
Exclusions are written by product description, not by code — being on a listed code is not enough, your exact product must match the description. Check before you rely on one.
